The second 935 to be sold to George Loos' team in 1977, it was driven by all the team's 1977 drivers including Rolf Stommelen, Toine Hezemans and Tim Schenken. It won at Diepaholz and the Nurburgring Super Sprint DRM race. At the end of 1977, the car was sold to Italy and raced there until 1979 when it was then sent to the factory and updated with a twin-turbo engine, bigger brakes and an upside-down gearbox. it was then sold to Charles Mendez, who raced it with success in IMSA races, winning at the July Daytona meeting and coming second at Road America in September. In 1980, the car was updated with e Kremer K3 kit, where it was subsequently given the Kremer chassis number of 009 0005. It raced under the Racing Associates banner. Coca Cola sponsored. |
